Change for our children. Change for our staff. Change for our safety.

At Large:

DPS has two "At Large" seats meaning every voter in Denver gets a chance to vote for these seats*.  Three candidates are vying for this seat this November:  Kwame Spearman, John Youngquist and Brittni Johnson. Given Brittni's responses to our Candidate-Community survey, we cannot recommend her as a viable candidate.  We encourage you to read the survey responses for the other 2 At-Large candidates here and attend an upcoming forum to press them on additional questions. Please note, Paul Ballenger was a fourth candidate and his name will still appear on November's ballot.  However, he withdrew from the race on 9.29.23 and endorsed John Youngquist.

*On June 12th Anderson announced his intention to vacate his Board seat and run for the Colorado House or Representatives.  In 2019, Tay Anderson was elected with an 18k vote victory over Alexis Harrigan.  In a city of 481,645 eligible voters this is a tiny number of votes. But Tay claimed a mandate and crowned himself king of the hill. In the past 4 years  Auon'tai has indeed taken the crown for self-promotion, inexperience, ineptitude, and outright bullying of those who disagree with him.
